Position: Investment Associate

Job Description:
The Investment Associate / Investments Analyst position reports directly to the Vice President of Investments and actively works to source and evaluate new investment opportunities, complete in-depth underwriting and develop comprehensive, thoughtful and deliberate business plans for multifamily acquisitions and opportunistic real estate investments. This role works in conjunction with the asset management, finance, legal and operations teams to ensure new investments are aligned with the Company’s investment strategy and are properly transitioned into operations and asset management upon closing.

They are a well-established owner, manager, and developer of multifamily properties. Their growth has come through acquisitions of value add properties (Class A and B) as well as new development. They currently manage over 40 multifamily properties and are growing.
Key Requirements:
BA Degree; highly prefer MBA
- 6+ years of progressive experience within the real estate industry. Must have strong experience in underwriting, due diligence/acquisitions process management, etc. Ideal candidate will have multifamily (highly preferred), student housing, and/or senior housing experience.
- Advanced / Expert in Microsoft Excel and other Office Products; as well as strong technical experience with computer modeling
- Build, understand and navigate sophisticated financial models for development, acquisition, and disposition of various real estate investments
- It is essential that this person be an extremely resourceful self-starter, able to work independently and take strong initiative, working additional hours when necessary
